- How do I sign up?
Simply click on the schedule/signup link on the menu bar or click here. Just fill out the forms and you are set. Of course if you would rather register by phone you can call at (813)748-7777.
- What happens after I register?
First we will review your medical information. If for some reason we believe that this program is not a good fit or safe for you, we will call you to discuss your options. Otherwise you will receive an e-mail confirmation which will provide you with directions to camp and times and directions of our SEMINAR ON MAXIMIZING WORKOUT BENEFITS AND HOW TO ACHIEVE EXTRAORDINARY RESULTS and our SHOPPING EXPERIENCE/NUTRITIOUS BUT STILL DELICIOUS.
- What do we do at camp?
First and foremost, we have FUN! We really do a little bit of everything, from weight training, stretching, cardiovascular exercises to pilates. Each day is different, with the one constant feature being that you won't stop moving an hour. You will burn around 500 calories per session, with the best part being that your metabolism will stay elevated for several hours after you finish your daily camp workout. This is a great time to eat your carbs.
- How does this compare to personal training?
You get the same personal attention as you do in personal training without the high cost. Your instructor is available to you for phone calls or e-mail. Also, your instructor will modify each exercise during class so that it fits your needs. Another advantage to Boot Camp is that you get to make lots of new friends, and with our special buddy program, you will have the chance to bond with your new friends.
- What kind of results can I expect to achieve?
Of course, like anything else, the more you put in, the more you can expect to achieve. Now that being said, if you come with commitment and a sense of purpose, you can expect the results listed below.

- What are the ages of your typical camper?
The ages of our campers range from 25-65. We are well versed in working with special populations, and we can tailor our program in accordance with special needs.
- What do I bring to bootcamp?
In addition to a great big smile and a winning attitude, you will want to bring a mat (the thicker the better), a set of hand weights (3-8 lbs.), a bath towel and a jump rope. If you have health issues and cannot jump rope, please let us know so we can make alternate arrangements. If you haven't jumped rope and are a little bit nervous, give us a chance to help you get comfortable with this amazing exercise tool.
- What should I wear?
You should wear lightweight and comfortable clothing. If it is hot outside, make sure that your clothes are a light color, synthetic fabric, such as polypropylene, that will wisk sweat away. In cold weather you want to wear several light layers, with the synthetic fabric closest to your skin. You will get warm quickly as you exercise, so you want to be able to remove those layers. Oh, and you can always wear our camp t-shirt which will be given to you on the first day of camp!
- What if I can't keep up?
This program is individualized and is tailored to meet YOUR needs. We are experienced working with all ages and fitness levels, and we never ask you to go beyond your capacity. Also, your initial assessment will help us get to know you even before you begin your program. Whether you have never exercised before or you are a fitness buff, we will make sure that you are appropriately challenged.
- Will I be sore?
After the first few days of camp, you will probably find that you are a little bit sore. You will probably experience the most soreness on the second and third days of camp. Coming to class on the days you are sore is especially important as the exercise will actually help alleviate the soreness. One thing that I can tell you is that you will leave you less sore than you came. Overall, those on the 5-day plan will probably experience less soreness that those on the 3 day plan. Also, drinking lots of water and taking fish oil on a regular basis will help out quite a bit.
- Do you recommend the 3-day or the 5-day plan?
They are both great although you will see quicker benefits with the 5 day program. You can always switch from the 3-day to the 5-day plan, and we will prorate the cost for any that you may have missed.
- Is there anything that I should do to prepare for the first day of class?
While you are awaiting the first day of class, start incorporating some good habits into your lifestyle. Start moving more, even if it means using stairs instead of elevators or parking a little farther away from your office building. Start drinking water and making healthly choices, like lean meats, fish, fruits and vegetables. Get enough sleep and put a smile on your face. We can't wait to see you and to help you "add life to your years and years to your life."
- What if the weather is bad?
Assume class is a go unless we notify you to cancel. At KickItUp Boot Camp, we won't let much stop us, so unless it is pouring or the conditions are not safe to exercise, we will forge ahead with a smile on our face and fire in our belly.
- What if I have to cancel?
If you need to cancel you must notify us at least 48 hours before the start of the first class. If you must cancel, you will receive a refund minus a $50 registration fee. However, you may elect to change your selected camp for another open camp, and you will not be charged the registration fee. Once class begins we have a strict no-refund policy.

- What will we be doing at the SEMINAR ON MAXIMIZING WORKOUT BENEFITS AND HOW TO ACHIEVE EXTRAORDINARY RESULTS?
During this hour-long session you will learn the tricks of the trade for getting the most out of your workout. You will learn how to use the perceived exertion chart to maximize your success. You will also be learning proper form for exercises you will be performing in class in order to maximize your benefits. Okay, don't get nervous here. We don't expect you to be an expert on the first day of class, but we do find that getting pre-exposed to proper form really enhances your benefits. We will also help you set goals, do measurement testing, explain our buddy program, briefly overview our nutrition program (which will be explained in more detail at our shopping tour) and talk about mental toughness, which is a key component to success. This is a jammed packed program that I can tell you will leave less sore than you came. We encourage you to attend as we find that those who attend this seminar have greater success!
